Immigration Adult Dependent Relative
The Home Office for certain types of applications no longer provides a right to appeal but instead provide a right to Administrative Review. This, in turn, means that a decision to refuse an application would be reviewed again by the Home Office to confirm whether the original decision to refuse was correct.
If you believe the Home Office has made a mistake in reaching their decision on your application to stay in the UK or in refusing you entry to the UK at the border you could potentially challenge that decision by pursuing an Administrative Review. The review will usually be carried out by a different caseworker but will use the same documents and facts sent with your original application. You may be asked for additional documents to the ones already provided.
The time limit for submitting an Administrative Review can vary depending on whether the application was submitted within the UK or outside the UK. For applications submitted within the UK, the time limit is 14 days whereas for applications outside the UK, it is usually 28 days.
